Tiny Progress

I finished the first hint of the Secret of the Stole, but it’s really not all that much to look at. I’m still a bit behind, but I may catch up. I kind of doubt that, as I keep making mistakes and it is SLOW going. I really want to win prizes! I guess the chance of me winning prizes in those drawings aren’t great though. There are a LOT of people knitting this stole.

I do like how it’s looking, mine will be lacier than most because of the tiny yarn.

Speaking of which, I’m glad I went ahead and started with the Alpaca Cloud because the Etsy yarn finally showed up (no fault of the seller’s) and it is really really tiny. I’m learning that “laceweight” means different things to different people.

I’m not sure what I’ll use the Etsy yarn for, but it is gorgeous and the seacell/merino blend really does look like silk. I’ll have to take some beauty shots and see if I can show you the prettiness. I’m thinking that doing something really open with a few white iridescent beads thrown here and there might be very mermaidy. I am pro-mermaid.
