Well, they’re FOR babies…
Pretty cute, eh? I LOVE the pattern. I did not know how easy it was to pick up and knit stitches, and now I’m an addict. I’m picking up and knitting everything in sight! I can’t help myself! The dog was a bit perturbed and got revenge on me:

…by being super cute and out of focus. Rrrnngghh! The rescue org we got him from called him a big polar bear, and it’s so true. I am ded of cute on a daily basis.
In case you were wondering where I’ve run off to lately, B and I have been hardcore Kitchn Curing. Check out my photos, which they’ve been using almost weekly! B jokes it’s ’cause no one else is doing the missions, but I think it’s because our photography skills have vastly improved, as well as the great lighting in the kitchen. Good times.
Last Sunday we roasted a chicken, B brewed beer, and I made bread with the spent grains. Mmmm very tasty. Click through the photo for more details…

I’m making myself hungry!

How do you pick up and stitch? I keep reading about it and it sounds hard, I really want to learn that.
p.s. dog is gorgeous.
Hey myknitting, I watched the video almost at the bottom of this page:
http://www.knittinghelp.com/videos/knitting-tips
Basically you just use one needle, identify a stitch on the edge of your knitting, put your needle UNDER it (rather than through the loop) and wrap your yarn and pull it through like a normal knit stitch.
I found it MUCH easier to hold the yarn in my right hand, since that keeps it from sliding off the needle so much. Some people use a crochet hook, I hear.
Hope that helps! Give it a shot, it all becomes clear when you have the needles and yarn in front of you.
PS – thanks! he thinks your pug is cute too.
Thank you! I have the knitting help on my links list, it’s such a great site. I didn’t realize they did picking up stitches there too.
I will check it out.
